Host PC Transceiver
The portable Host PC Transceiver allows you to communicate with the Etherlog
3000 and RDT 3000 from a PC or laptop computer. This module converts the
license-exempt 433MHz communications from Etherlog and RDT modules to RS-232
levels suitable for connection to a PC serial port (via a suitable adapter
where the host computer does not have a serial port).
The unit is battery powered, making it suitable for field work in conjunction with a laptop computer, but may also be run from an external "plug-top" 12V power supply. When there is no active RS-232 signal on any input from the PC, the unit powers down into very low current standby mode to conserve power.
